Entertainment place in Bakersfield

13 May

According to my perspective, another most entertainment place in Bakersfield is Kern County Museum and River Lakes Ranch. The Kern County Museum is a history museum located in Bakersfield, California. Its main focus is the history of Kern County including Bakersfield. One of the prominent features is Pioneer Village. Other features include: Lori Brock Children’s Discovery Center, Black Gold exhibit, and main building. The museum is also accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

One of the most recognizable structures at the museum is the Beale Memorial Clock Tower, located on the lawn in front of it. Moreover, pioneer village is a collection of over 50 historic building related to Kern County’s history. Black Gold is also considered an exhibit which describes Kern County’s oil industry as well. The Lori Brock Children’s Discovery Center is a children’s museum located on the grounds of the Kern County Museum and it was designed to offer hands- on experiences for children. The centre has three exhibit rooms, each one showing a different exhibit.

The Links at Riverlakes Ranch is a public golf course situated in Bakersfield. Beside golf, Tournaments & Outings, Weddings, Banquets, Meetings & Events also takes place in Riverlakes Ranch. With over 12 blue lakes, three lighted fountains and the distinctly beautiful desert landscape, RiverLakes Ranch is a surprising unique experience. The man-made contouring of the course as it wander through almond trees and Canary Island Pines as well as majestic redwoods manage to create the illusion that they’ve been there all along.

Well done Ariful! You picked beautiful pictures to use. It was nice to read something you wrote besides the CSUB student Rec Center. I have never heard of the Kern County Museum and River Lakes Ranch. You make me want to go there!
